The Motion Healthcare Xplorer can also be sold with larger batteries to increase the range, however, if the batteries are upgraded, this will take the scooter out of the weight limit for a Class 3 mobility scooter and the driver must hold a valid driving license and also have the appropriate insurance. If you cause an accident while driving a mobility scooter that's out of class, you can be given the same penality as if you were driving a car.
